Why Locals Love McDonald's
Nestled in the heart of Hermitage, PA, McDonald's at 2066 E State St offers a classic fast food dining experience that caters to a wide range of cravings. This location expertly serves up the beloved American fast food staples McDonald's is famed for, from their iconic Burgers and Sandwiches to satisfying Breakfast options and refreshing Beverages. Whether you're stopping by for a quick pick-me-up or a casual meal with family, this restaurant captures the essence of comfort food done right.
The star of the menu undoubtedly remains the legendary Big Mac®, where two sear-sizzled 100% pure beef patties are layered with tangy Big Mac® sauce, melted American cheese, crisp shredded lettuce, fresh onions, and pickles, all embraced by a soft sesame seed bun. Every bite is a delightful harmony of savory and creamy textures that keep loyal fans coming back. For those seeking a simpler indulgence, the juicy Cheeseburger offers a perfectly seasoned beef patty topped with classic fixings — a true testament to uncomplicated, satisfying flavors.
Families will appreciate the variety of Happy Meals available, featuring favorites like the Happy Meal Hamburger, Cheeseburger, or McNuggets® in kid-friendly portions, making it an ideal stop for a wholesome, playful dining moment. Meanwhile, beverage lovers can quench their thirst with a range of fountain drinks like classic CocaCola®, revitalizing Diet Coke®, crisp Sprite®, or the unique notes of Dr. Pepper®, served in sizes from Extra Small to Large to suit every appetite.
Step inside, and you’ll find more than just fast food — the atmosphere strikes a welcoming balance between casual comfort and inviting friendliness. As customer James Wolf shares, the indoor ambiance here is surprisingly pleasant, with tasteful music that elevates the experience beyond a typical fast food joint, making you feel more like you’re in a cozy café than a drive-through.
Staff here consistently receive praise for their warmth and helpfulness. Shout-outs to team members like Sean and Jaylen highlight the personal touch you can expect, from genuinely friendly greetings during late-night visits to attentively resolving special requests with care, such as customizing orders with Big Mac sauce that isn’t easily available through delivery platforms.
While some guests have noted occasional challenges with wait times and occasional mix-ups—understandable for a popular spot that sometimes faces understaffing—these moments are often met with quick fixes and professionalism, reflecting a commitment to customer satisfaction in every interaction.
Overall, the McDonald’s on E State St stands as a familiar haven for fast, dependable meals with a homey vibe and attentive service, making it a reliable choice whether you’re fueling up for the day, grabbing a bite during a shopping trip, or just craving a comforting classic. So it's a really big coin flip on the quality of the food, and temperature. But I usually grab stuff for my night shift and often deal with Sean who works the register. Outside of some glaring issues with wait times and food quality I wanted to give a huge shout-out to Sean because he's always super friendly and understanding. Great worker.

The people are nice, but they are alway understaffed. This causes the lines to be pretty long. They have messed up my order up twice, not a huge deal because they have fixed it when I go back. It's just an inconvenience. It's not a bad place, pretty clean.

Good home cooked food. Prices and service are great! Sisters' meeting place & Aunt Patty worked there for 30 years.

there isn’t a way to add big Mac sauce to a sandwich on Grubhub or any delivery platform, so I called. Jaylen answered very promptly and resolved my issue very quickly! I asked him if I could add it to my sandwich and pay for a dipping sauce and he said I could and he was really helpful.

The people that work at this McDonald's are always so nice & have great attitudes. That's not easy to accomplish in fast food, but they do. I never have a bad experience here & I hope they get commended for their hard with with great attitudes.

This was the first McDonald's where I used the app to order food. We arrived at the restaurant about 5 minutes after placing our order, and once we arrived we saw that they were EXTREMELY busy! The drive-thru was non-stop and people were going in and out of the restaurant the entire time we waited for our food. Because of that, it took about 12 minutes after we arrived to get our order, and the employee who brought it out to our car was very apologetic. I'm sure a lot of people would have been angry, but we have something called compassion and patience, so considering how busy they were, it was completely understandable. Our order was correct, the food was hot, and we were very satisfied! Also, the app was very easy to use and offered some great deals. Overall it was a great visit!
